We are a vibrant and active church, holding a range of regular events throughout the year. We'd love to welcome you if we don't already know you.
Please ask the church office for more information about any event: firstname.lastname@example.org or 0207 4316317
What is the meaning of life? Is there a God who is there? What is he like? What's all the fuss about Jesus? What about other religions?
Our Exploring Christianity course is aimed at those asking these or similar questions. Whether you've never set foot in a church before, or been going to church all your life, the course provides an excellent opportunity to look more closely at these issues.
We run one six-session course each term. They are intended to be a relaxed, unpressured and informative time. Please don't be put off by committing to six sessions - come along to one, there's no pressure to come back.
Church Family Lunch
On the fourth Sunday of every month we hold a bring and share lunch straight after the morning service, beginning around 12.45pm. It's a great opportunity to get to know members of the church family better as we chat together and catch up over food.
Evergreens is a monthly meeting for the senior members of our church and local community which is usually held from 3-5pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month. We enjoy a short service together, afternoon tea and a different talk or activity every month.
The men of St Luke's meet once a month on a Saturday morning from 9-11am for Breakfast and a seminar style Bible talk with group discussion.
Each Summer a number of our church family go on a Summer Camp for a week. It's a great chance to teach 11-18 year olds about Jesus and to help them learn how to live as Christians. Most of us go on either Romsey 1 (24th-30th July 2016) or B3 @ Brymore (13-21st August 2016). Contact the church office for more info.
Sunday Evening Suppers
Sunday Evening Suppers take place on the first Sunday of the month after our evening service, at 7:30pm. They are a great chance for everyone to spend time together and enjoy catching up over a meal.
Womens' Bible Study
The women of St Luke's meet each Monday morning during term-time to study a book of the Bible together. 9.45am for refreshments and 10-11am study. We also run a creche from 10-11am.
Womens' Book Group
Each term the women of St Luke's read a Christian book and then meet together to discuss it. It's a great chance to learn more about who God is, how his word applies to different areas of life and to encourage one another as we share thoughts and insights from the book.
Each term we hold a Saturday morning Breakfast for ladies from 9.30-11am. We Breakfast for half an hour together and then look at what the Bible has to say about different aspects of life in a seminar style group. Previous topics have included Identity, Busyness, Emotions, Friendship and Evangelism.
